Irish Red and White Setter - IRWS history in Poland
First imprted bitch of Irish Red and White Setter was Exclusive's Velvet (O'Gilli Adam & Pallas Green Athena), which came to Polnad from Belgium in 1997 and lived in Stargard Szczeciński with Anna Żwierrełło in "Rysi Wykrot" kennel. For a few years she was the sole representative of this breed in Poland. Then in years of 1999 and 2000 were born two litters after Exclusive's Velvet & Rushfield Smudge. From these two litters were shown: Valiant Rysi Wykrot, Verity Rysi Wykrot, Czarli Rysi Wykrot and Caroline Rysi Wykrot. In 2001, 2002 and 2004 three litters came to this world from mating of Exclusive's Velvet & Hard z Lukovskych Lanu (son of previously mentioned Rushfield Smudge). On dog show rings appeared: Axel Rysi Wykrot and his sibling from the latest litter: Jaga Rysi Wykrot, Jaksa Rysi Wykrot, Jarda Rysi Wykrot, Jazon Rysi Wykrot. Last litter "J" from "Rysi Wykrot" kennel came to be crucial for further development of the breed in Poland. Especially Jarda Rysi Wykrot, which gave birth to Beata Gnyp "Shadow Dog" kennel. Breeders from "Rysi Wykrot" kennel uit on IRWS and continued to breed Irish Setters and Shar-pei. At that time Irish Red&Whites were shown one at a time and very rare, what made them almoast unnoticeable in our country. (...) Judyta Gnyp-Nosal |
